When one thinks of Austria, one usually thinks of mountains, lakes, cultures … and holidays. However, Austria is a country with a highly developed industry – especially in the areas of machine and steel manufacturing, chemistry, vehicle manufacturing, electrical engineering and electronics. Trainees from other countries find a variety of possibilities and chances in Austria.
IFA supports young people and adults from other EU countries who want to do a placement in Austria. During a placement you have the possibility to improve your knowledge of German, get to know the country and the people as well as new working methods and techniques.
Interested in a placement in Austria?
IFA offers the following services to individuals:
- Search for an adequate traineeship
- Organisation of accommodation
- Organisation of a language course
IFA offers the following services to groups (of up to ten people):
- Search for an adequate traineeship
- Organisation of accommodation in youth hostels or apartments
- Organisation of a language course
- Cultural activities
- Support during the placement
In order to enable us to search for a training place we need the following documents at least three months prior to the beginning of the placement:
- Application / motivation letter (German and English)
- Curriculum Vitae, including information about vocational and linguistic competences (German and English)
- Description of the training/tasks (German and English)
- Copy of a valid ID
IFA cannot be held liable for finding a traineeship. IFA does not organise paid placements. A payment can directly be agreed upon between trainee and hosting institution.
