Grant support programme
The grant support programme is a funding programme of the Federal Ministry of Economy, Family and Youth and the Economic Chambers. Apprentices and skilled workers under 35 years of age who participate(d) in a vocationally-specific further training programme and who live permanently in Austria are supported.
Prerequisites for apprentices to apply for funding:
- good VET school certificate with an average grade of 2.0 at the most or
- successful participation in an apprenticeship competition (first, second or third place)
Skilled workers have to meet one of the following conditions:
- final apprenticeship examination with distinction
- master craftsperson examination/admittance examination with distinction
- start-up business examination with distinction
- final certificate of a foreperson course with distinction
- final certificate of a vocationally-specific programme with a good pass
- final certificate of Berufsreifeprüfung with an average grade of 2.0 at the most
Which courses are supported?
- Preparatory courses for the master craftsperson, admittance, start-up business and trainer examinations
- Courses aiming at imparting start-up business competences in free trades
- Preparatory courses for Berufsreifeprüfung
- Foreperson courses
- WIFI specialist colleges
- Vocationally-specific further training programmes
