Pro Mobility

For more than ten years the European Union has funded work placements during and after initial vo-cational education and training (IVET). However, placements often cover only a short period of time (three to four weeks) and are not seen as an integral part of IVET but rather as “a first glance” into other cultures, languages and working methods.

Within the European Commission project Pro Mobility, in which IFA participates, qualifying mobility should be established as part of IVET. Qualifying mobility is characterised by two aspects:

During the Pro Mobility project qualifying mobility exchanges will be organised and evaluated. The experiences gathered will be used for establishing the necessary infrastructure and creating the framework conditions required for qualifying mobility.
