Work placements for trainers
IFA supports the exchange of experience of Austrian trainers abroad. Trainers may refer to in-company trainers of apprentices, HR managers, VET teachers as well as VET experts and educational authorities, i.e. all people with multiplier function who can pass on their experiences to young people or adults in VET (apprentices, students) or to people who work in VET.
Which types of grants are there?
Within the European Lifelong Learning Programme / Leonardo da Vinci trainers receive a country-dependent allowance to travel, assurance and subsistence costs incurred by the exchange of experi-ence abroad. The stay must cover at least one week and take place in one of the countries participat-ing in the programme.
Trainers who
- wish to do an exchange of experience in a country that does not participate in the European Life-long Learning / Leonardo da Vinci programme (e.g. Croatia, Canada etc.),
- have already received funding from Leonardo da Vinci,
- do not receive Leonardo funding for various reasons,
can apply at IFA for financial support from the Federal Ministry of Economy, Family and Youth.
Interested in an exchange of experience abroad?
The following application documents are required:
- Application / motivation letter (German and English)
- Curriculum Vitae (German and English)
- Short work description and of the possibility of passing on experiences gained abroad
- Copy of a valid ID
During the stay abroad visits are made to companies, schools and other VET institutions as well as to private and public organisations responsible for content development, legislation, recognition, etc. within VET. The aim is to exchange one’s own experiences with the experiences about approaches and methods applied in other countries. Often sustainable partnerships can be established with com-panies in other European countries.
